Today I am going to cycle the last parts of the Remutaka Rail Trail from Ocean Beach on south coast to Orongaronga. To make it more interesting I am cycling from Martinborough 50kms to Ocean Beach then along the Wild Coast Track past normal end at Eastbourne and back to central Wellington. Read More……
The Mountains to Sea Ngā Ara Tūhono is a 231km cycle with a compulsory boat ride to bridge an unrideable section along the Whanganui River. The 32km scenic jet boat ride goes from the Mangapurua Track (Bridge to Nowhere) and Pīpīriki, the northern end of the Whanganui River Road. Read more….
Next week I am planning to return to Marlborough and cycle the Tasman Great Taste Trail. It is a network of cycleways threaded inland and along the coast, linking Nelson, Wakefield, Richmond, Motueka and Kaiteriteri.
